Rahmo's Frequently Asked Questions and Policies

Please CLICK HERE to contact us with any questions .

In addition to sales of consignments and used gear, we sell new gear from the following  manufacturers:  Performance Designs, Mirage Systems, Sun Path, Aerodyne, Vigil, Cypres, L&B, Alti-2, Icarus World, Velocity Sports (Infinity), United Parachute Technologies (UPT) (Vector), Sunrise Manufacturing International (Wings), Cookie Helmets, Cypres, Vigil, ParaSport Italia and Merlin Suits. We also stock items such as helmets, AADs, altimeters, jumpsuits, gloves, goggles, and packing tools.

Prices include shipping to the lower 48 contiguous states (CONUS) and military APO addresses, unless otherwise stated.

The equipment listed for sale is intended for sale ONLY to individuals who hold the appropriate licensure, experience level, and skills necessary to use the equipment as intended by the manufacturer.  Please review the manufacturer's manual or contact the manufacturer if you have any questions about the equipment, to include the manufacturer's guidance regarding experience level, exit weight, wingloading, and the canopies that can be packed in a container. You can also seek out the advice of a certificated parachute rigger.  If you have concerns about your experience and skill level and whether the equipment is right for you, consult your drop zone's Safety and Training Advisor and or a USPA instructor/coach who is familiar with your learning progression.

All equipment listed below has been inspected by an FAA-certificated master or senior parachute rigger.  The purchaser is strongly encouraged to have their own FAA-certificated rigger inspect the equipment and its assembly prior to use.  Equipment is sold in "as is" condition and is not under any warranty, unless explicitly stated in the listing.  Purchasers should consult the manufacturer's owner/operation manual for warranty and other information.

The descriptions of gear for sale are intended to describe verbally and photographically the age and condition of the equipment as accurately as possible to help interested parties compare with other equipment on the market for fair value.  Buyer solely accepts responsibility for choosing the equipment type, brand, model, size, method of operation, performance capability, proper personal fit, and compatibility of components.  Correct fit is best determined by providing personal measurements and the serial number to the manufacturer before purchase.  Buyer can expect that the equipment will be, within reason, shipped in the condition as advertised, which can be confirmed after purchase by the buyer's FAA-certificated rigger representative before use and returned for refund at the buyer's shipping expense if a significant discrepancy is found to exist.  Returns will not be accepted for any other reason, and purchaser is urged to resell or otherwise dispose of any and all equipment unless satisfied with their choice.

Skydiving/parachuting and related activities are inherently dangerous, and may cause or result in death or grave injury; the consignor, consignee, and/or Rahlmo's Rigging is not responsible for any injury or death in connection with the use of equipment.

We sure do,  Talk to us directly for discounts on Vectors, staff discounts, military discounts, and special packages that include assembly.  No matter what you pay or where you buy your gear we offer full support!

Absolutely!  We recommend a practice test at our facility.  But if you feel ready, go for it!  We also do pre-test "tune up" courses tailored to your needs.

You can go straight through if you like.  But we also schedule according to YOUR need and YOUR goals.  Figure an average of 19 working days, including the exams.  After the initial two consecutive days for the Advanced Equipment/Pre-Rigger Course, we'll work with your schedule-- three weeks, three months, or even more.

The two courses have a similar (but not exact) 2-3 hour opening but diverge after that.  The six-hour Advanced-B course is for licensed skydivers with their own gear and basic packing skills.  It focuses on main parachutes, the specifics of your rig, some packing and coaching tips, and a demonstration of how a reserve deploys.

The 12-hour (two-day) Pre-Rigger course focuses on those interested in becoming an FAA rigger.  It includes the first official logged reserve pack job, introductory sewing, and other loft processes.  Pre-Rigger is actually the first two days of the full FAA Senior Rigger Certification Course and is required before enrollment in our full course.

We have a wide variety of training and testing gear than includes most MARD systems, plus the most popular pilot emergency seat and back rigs.

Bring 'em!  We provide all tools for training and testing, and a complete rigger kit comes with the Senior Rigger, Back Rating course.  But if you already have tools, we give you credit for what you don't need from us.  We sell lots of unique tools that you might not have in your kit.

Just about any time!  Either one-one-one for an hourly rate or take our fun six-hour comprehensive Advanced Equipment-B Course, focusing on YOUR rig.  (CLICK HERE to see the course schedule for dates.)

No way!  We don't charge "rush" (OK - except within two days of Skydive Orange's Big-O Boogie.). We'll bend over backwards to get you back in the air when you need to be, no extra charge.  But our normal tunraound time is already between any two weekends.

It is an abbreviation for "Rigging and Higher Level Maintenance Operations."

Yes, we do! CLICK HERE for information about our escrow services.

Yes.  Most of the gear on our site is gear we are consigning for our customers.  We inspect, evaluate, price, photograph, and market for sale gear that is consigned through Rahlmo's.  Please CLICK HERE to contact us if you would like us to consign your gear.
